Update: Due to bad weather on Thursday morning, the start of the opening round has been postponed by two hours. 

The new expected start time is 11:26 a.m. ET. The tee times for the first round, listed below, have been adjusted to accommodate this delay.

Rory McIlroy, with two wins this season, has been striving for his fifth major title. He secured a T7 position at the PGA, came in 2nd at the U.S. Open, and finished T6 at the Open Championship. 

Despite briefly holding the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking earlier in the season, he has mainly held the No. 2 position.

This position also marked his starting point for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Following a near-miss at the FedEx St. 

Jude Championship last week, where he finished T3 and was just one shot away from the playoff between Lucas Glover and Patrick Cantlay, McIlroy still maintains his No. 2 spot.

A victory at this week's BMW Championship could propel McIlroy into the top position going into the Tour Championship.
